Caleigh Perkins-Teacher

Caleigh began dancing at the age of 3.  From a young age, she studied multiple styles of dance including ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical and eventually hip hop and contemporary.  Caleigh danced competitively both in group routines and as a soloist for many years.  Throughout her teenage years she traveled all over the country and had the pleasure of taking class with some of the most successful choreographers and teachers in the industry.  She won a variety of scholarships during her days in the convention circuit.  These awards led her the opportunity of performing at places such as Rockefeller Center and the Dolby Theater.   Caleigh went on to Manhattanville College where she studied dance and was a member of their dance team; later graduating from the Universit of New Hampshire.  She has been teaching dance for 8 years and hopes to continue well into her future.  Caleigh’s hope is to assist a younger generation in finding their love and passion for dance.  Most importantly Caleigh says dance has helped her to express herself in a creative and fulfilling way that every child should get to experience.

During Kaylyn’s time at Endicott, she was an active member and choreographer for the Endicott Dance Group, where she continued her passion for dance and found a new love for choreographing.
